To Abba on Abba's Day

 For sending us on Secret Missions


and brokering peace treaties;

For entertaining us during bathtime


and surrendering your belt and scarf for more joyful pursuits;

For roughhousing



and teaching us how to play together;

For giving up your pillow


and passing down wisdom about food storage;

For being a shoulder to lean on



and for cuddling  up for impromptu afternoon naps;

For staying up late to watch just one more show


and for being our "Abba" in a world full of "Daddies";

For Eskimo kisses


any time, any place


And for effortlessly managing three of us with only two hands
